Does any team change their lineup as much as we do? That lineup is flat-out garbage. GARBAGE. And why? Could it be starting Macias as LEAD-OFF MAN??? Sure, Dusty will blame the short period of rest between games, but there was no need to yank Hairston Jr. late in the game for the "defensive" specialties of JOSE MACIAS.

Let's see if he can surprise all of us and do what Hank White did against the Cardinals the other night.

Between Vizquel missing aroutine grounder and Tucker misplaying a fly-ball in the sun, I think the curse of LaTroy is in full effect.

Yr dead right there. Hawkins is rubbing off on his hapless team, and despite their spirited rally in the 8th, they couldn't keep the Cubbies off the basepads in the 9th.

Superb clutch hit by Murton (Hollandsworth today: 0-3, 3 Ks, positively Corey-esque), and Burnitz came through big after a rough day of his own to score Jody G from 2nd.

I still have no idea why Macias got the start at CF though. Some questions just aren't meant to be answered, I guess....

...because Macias is "Dusty's guy."
